Studio B allows for tracking in an intimate, cosy atmosphere and is equally suited for mixing. The 30m² live room features wooden floors, stone and absorbent walls, plus movable Tube-Traps for anything from lively and roomy to completely dry recordings. It works just as well for vocals or string ensembles as it does for full bands. Two adjoining guitar amp booths enable isolated tracking, while a window-door to the control room ensures direct communication and overview. The 45m² control room offers a wide range of modern and vintage preamps, along with a strong outboard collection (Neve, Tube-Tech, Chandler etc). At its heart is a Tascam M700 console, supported by Pro Tools HD3 Accel (32 I/O) and an RME Fireface with Apogee converters (24 I/O), easily accessible via laptop. For vintage colour, a 2" Otari MX80 24-track tape machine is available in excellent condition. Monitoring comes via Westlake BBSM12, with optional Dynaudio sub and Yamaha NS10s. Adding to the room’s unique vibe is a Hammond C3 organ with Leslie 122.
